Diffraction starts to become a problem over about f11 with the sigma sized sensors.
Therefore the images arent as sharp as perhaps they could be.
They look pretty good to me though.
Nice bee photos, well done.
I take quite a few flower photos.
With my sd15, 0.7 stops under exposed as a matter of course.
The sd1 merrill copes ok without ev correction most of the time.
When A flower has blown highlights (on the sd1) I underexpose 0.7 or more!
I have never used flash on macro but after looking at these examples may try it.
Underexposing with the flash to freeze motion and using trial and error to adjust for circumstances
