what on earth are you trying to take picture of?
Oct 1, 2012

I was just curious in a general basis as i have owned various cameras over the years and if i am perfectly honest they have all taken great pictures.

But in virtually every single camera forum people are always going on about how the latest model needs to be updated or that the sensors are no good etc etc.

I know it is very easy to get caught up in camera lust (i have been guilty myself) but once you take a step back and think about it - doesnt it seem a little silly?

If anyone has a genuine reason or explanation why they actually need better sensor or quicker forcus can they give some explanation below.

Is it just simply that most people seem want professional quality without paying the prices?
I never really had any dslr in non digital days but was it like this back then?
Was there always this obsession with noise or the equivalant of pixel peeping?

I used to like looking at photos on here but now its more complaints than photos.

Lets hope the new forums can bring in a new change with more actual pics than complaints.
