Re: 18-135

.

Get the 16-50/2.8 first. Absolutely.

I'm currently on a photo walk about though Sante Fe, Taos, and tomorrow

will head to the Colorado Springs area. Street photography and also scenic shots.
About a 50/50 mix.

I'm working with two A65 bodies, one with a 16-50 on it and another one with
an 18-250 SAL. I have reached for the 18-250 exactly two (2) times in the
past 4 days. Many images taken in both Sante Fe and Taos areas.

The 16-50/2.8 is the very finest Sony lens I have ever had. And I also own

a 70400G, But I include in "finest" it's combination of crisp image production,

versatile focal length, and speed. It's the first zoom lens of many that I have had

going back to the 70's that I can say I absolutely love and have full confidence in.

The longer zoom has been there if I need it, but knowing I will give up some
image quality with a wider range zoom, I would only use it if needed. I think
this says a lot about which zoom you should get "first".
