I picked up a used Pro1 last year as I missed my G6 (sort of ) I have FF Canon DSLR's etc and several flash units. I had picked up a small Sunpack RD2000 ( I have a 270EX also). As it initially would not link with my 5DMkII, I sent it to Sunpack for a free firmware upgrade, which was fast and free. I was told that subsequent RD2000 models would have the firmware upgrade.

The little RD2000 works fine with all my Canon DSLRs, G series and SX40. It also works fine with my Pro1 and certainly is a smaller profile than a 402EX , 430EX or 580EX.... The 270EX also works great, but is usually relegated to my G11 or SX40.

You can't beat the price $65. While it will not swivel (neither will the 270EX), it does elevate for ceiling bounce and you can fit a Sto-Fen Universal (I trimmed the foot a tad).

Enjoy your Pro1
