"Sticky" zoom on Canon 100-400mm lens

Clem - does yours stick anywhere and anytime or only if it is left in the same focal length for a length of time? I keep mine in my camera backpack at the 100mm setting and sometimes it sticks a little the first time I try to zoom in from 100mm. Once it moves it is smooth at all focal lengths until it sits for a while again.
