So who else is waiting for $2750 on the 5D3?

At its current price upgrading to a 5DIII or changing to a D800 is about an equal investment for me. With the price drop I set up in the Canon camp. Without it, and if my current frustration in shooting indoor sports on my 5DII keeps up, a D800 is in my future.

I rented a D800 for a week to satisfy my own curiosity. With the new controls and all, my keeper rate was higher and being able to switch to DX mode for extra reach was huge.
