Olympus OMD 5 does not work well with Panasonic lenses. I have issue with 20mm 1,7 and recently bought Panasonic Leica 25 1,4 and there are problems too. 25 1,4 is making very loud strange noise even when not working if the power is on. It sounds as if the aperture was changing all the time, some sort of clicking sound, while the display is twinkling. The output is OK. These lenses work very well on Panasonic G3 I also own.
No, your OMD does not work well. I have had no problems whatsoever with Panasonic lenses on my OMD and I use all Panasonic lenses bar 2. I use the 7-14mm, 12-35mm, 20mm F1.7, 100-300mm and 14-42mmX on the OMD with no issues at all. That's using firmware 1.1.
It is a pity, as this is an expensive camera and this expensive lenses are essential for the micro4/3 system. This is a weakness in the software of Olympus OMD and should be solved soon, otherwise Olympus will lose customers.

I just got the new 45-150mm zoom. Guess what, three lockups on the very first day with my E-M5...
