Yes, it was quite dark that day. I didn't personally know anyone that died, but my wife knew two brothers. I found their names and took a picture for her. One thing that really struck me while visiting was just how many foreigners were there. You need to get tickets, so it's not something you just "walk by" like so many other landmarks in NYC. It was really nice to see such international support.

I watched live on TV here in Australia as the actual events unfolded on that dark day. It is something I will never forget.

The memorial looks to be a very nice way to ensure those who died that day will permanently live on in the thoughts of all future generations.
