Yes but look at the lower ISO's there the D600 has more luminance noise than a900 in some of the blue colors and the reds render way better on the a900 where the reds in D600 looks blotchy!!

I think it's so marginal a difference that it makes sense to jump over this geneation sensors for me. Ok if Sony makes a 36 MP FF I would be tempted if I had the money.

I don't think there is anything marginal about this link http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/studio-compare#baseDir=%2Freviews_data&cameraDataSubdir=boxshot&indexFileName=boxshotindex.xml&presetsFileName=boxshotpresets.xml&showDescriptions=false&headerTitle=Studio%20scene&headerSubTitle=Standard%20studio%20scene%20comparison&masterCamera=sony_slta77&masterSample=dsc02826_2.acr&slotsCount=4&slot0Camera=sony_slta77&slot0Sample=dsc02826_2.acr&slot0DisableCameraSelection=true&slot0DisableSampleSelection=true&slot0LinkWithMaster=true&slot1Camera=nikon_d600&slot1Sample=dsc_4526.acr&slot2Camera=sony_dslra900&slot2Sample=dsc00063.acr&slot3Camera=pentax_k30&slot3Sample=imgp1058.acr&x=-0.365284929740015&y=0.3541990467375925 . It clearly shows both poor contrast on the a900 and a blue hue forming at high iso. The noise is no better than the K30 in most parts of the sample, even after downsampling. I'm sure the a99 offers things that some may prefer, but overall IQ just can't compare to todays cameras, even the better APSC models.
