I have used it on a D800 and a D300s and it works fine on both. the corners can be soft at wider angles in particular, but not that bad. Also, the distortion is at the extremes, but disappears quite nicely between 30mm and 11omm on mine. The distortion at those extremes are easily taken care of in post processing if needed. As far has handling the resolution issues, it worked great on the D800! Seems to me to be a great choice for the D600 if you are looking for a good light all-purpose lens.
