And after you have done both those steps take the resolution when it was 2x2 at 300ppi and multiply width x height. Then take the 200% resample and do the same. You will see that it is 4x as many pixels.

200% resample (2x larger in each direction because it is a 2 dimensional object) = 4x as many pixels. That is why 36mp, which is a nice increase btw, is not as much more than 22mp as it may sound........... its "only" a 27.8% increase in resolution.

If you want higher MP cameras. Go out and buy them, and have fun YAY!
