New 5DIII

So if I go and buy a 5DIII, do I have to take it right to a service centre to get the light leak fixed, or should the new ones come with the tape already in it?

I plan on picking one up next week so would like to plan taking it in (if I have to) in advance.

Just to confirm, does this issue happen in 'Aperture Priority' mode only, or will it affect metering in Manual mode as well?

If Manual mode is unaffected I may just leave it be.
