Question for UK D800 owners ref AF issues

It seems Nikon have definitely got a fix but there seems no way to know which service centres have it - a masterclass in bad communications really.

Has anyone here experience of using service centres in different countries? I am going to Holland and Germany later this year - is it worth me trying to take it to Dusseldorf where apparently they can definitely fix them?
