Buying the GH-3 - GH-2 historical pricing question

Who has pre-ordered the GH-3.

Who bought the GH-2 when it first came out and do you remember about how long it took before you saw a price drop closer to the $1,000 or less mark?

I have a need for March/April 2013 and the wheels are spinning on this.
