Opinions on the Nikkor 35-70 f2.8D???

I had the 35-70 2.8 AF (not D). A little soft wide open. Range a little bit too little.

Not fond of the push pull, though it would have been tolerable if the other things weren't a problem

I sold it. Don't miss it. I have a 28-105 3.5-4.5 which is, to me, a better value and no slouch.
