So I got a D600 from Best Buy and they are offering an extended warranty for 3 years at $279. There is a 2 year and 1 year version also.
What are people's thoughts, so I get this? They say that they cover incidental damage as well.
Best Buy extended warranty is the worst out there. I got it one time with a D70 against the advice of others. When I needed it 3 months after purchase..it cost me $500 to get the camera fixed and it covered nothing. Took the camera to Best Buy under their extended warranty and they sent it too an unauthorized repair place that voided my Nikon Warranty and then Best Buy charged me $500 to get the camera back under a Technicality. Even a lawyer said I couldn't get relief. Lesson learned.
Wow, that stinks. Thanks for the heads-up, Mako. Buyer beware of Best Buy Warranties!
Thanks for the heads up.
Also.. I bought my D600 and 50mm 1.8g from BB tax free so no need to buy online.
