D800 Warranty

Hi, assuming that the camera is handled with care (no bumps, spills, etc), what is the probability that a new Nikon DSLR will need warranty technical repair sometime during its lifetime? I'm asking this because this will be my first entry into SLR and it's quite an investment. Seems that QC is not what it used to, and gone are the days when you blindly bought something just because it was "Made in Japan".
