As indicated, this advice is for RAW shooters. If you are an OOC jpeg shooter, there isn't much you can do except to expose so as to get appropriate overall brightness.

It is certainly related to image quality. But the only question asked is not only what you should do to get the best out of your E-M5. There are also questions asked, for example, about what camera makers should and should not do.
