No Detachable Lens Cameras at F1 Race in Austin

Not sure how many of you planned on attending, but I will be there. I was very disappointed to see that along with lenses over 10" and tripods, the track plans to ban all detachable lens cameras. Aside from not knowing of a point and shoot with a 10" lens, I am puzzled by this decision given the amount of DSLRs seen in the broadcasts of races from all over the world. I am fine with limiting lenses and banning tripods because it would suck to watch the race leaning past a big telephoto lens.

Post on the Circuit of the America's wall, hit them on twitter, send emails, I don't care, but this silly rule against all detachable lens cameras just doesn't make sense.
