Not at all, dear Trevor : the details where extracted from these two pictures, both M sized : DSCF0868 (ISO 100, DR100) and DSCF0871 (ISO 100 DR400)

DR400 in L size is just a software trick which relies on boosting ISO to get increased gighlight recovery capabilities.

DR400 in M size uses the sensor pixel-pairing arrangement at as little as ISO100 so it won't be noisier than DR100.

Please also bear in mind when using DR400 that it will actually reduce your dynamic range, by reducing the overall exposure level, if there are not image elements which would be over/higher than 0EV.

In other words, unless you have a high contrast scene, use DR100 for best results.

Well, in this case, the rendition of the South Tower benefited from the DR400 setting.
