Was Hybrid IS really effective?

I think the Hybrid IS really did its job in giving sharp IQ's even in the face of a "5L" obstacle.

Please CC. I tried to used this macro L inside a limited space. I ended up having a lot of portraits of my highschool friends. (I believed it has somehow overcame the shaking caused by the "5L")
