Sigma 10-20 can be a pretty solid basis for a FF wide zoom. Just try to find a Kenko 1.4x Teleconverter (preferably "Pro300 DGX") and attach it to Your Sigma 10-20. The resulting pictures of that 14-28mm combo shan't disappoint You.

This is an alternative approach, given one already has a Sigma 10-20 rolling about and haunts for a decent ultrawide w/o too much expense. The resulting "14-28" is by no means as good as a Nikon G 14-24, nor is it a match for the EF 14 L2, but it works surprisingly well even on a 20+mp sensor.
