Got D800e back from Nikon Canada for left AF problem: looks good.

Hello all.

I sent my D800e to Nikon Canada for the dreaded left phase detect sensor AF problem about three weeks ago through the camera store I bought it from. I was pretty upset about it at the time. Got it back yesterday, and after some preliminary testing (with a bit of AF fine tuning) it looks like they fixed it! I can see very little, if any difference at 100 % using a 50 mm at F1.8, and 70-200 at F2.8 (first generation, VR I) between the phase and contrast detect AF using the far left, centre, and far right AF points. My gallery has examples from the camera before I sent it in. I'll test it more this weekend, but it looks good so far. Lets hope we can all put this issue behind us and get on with enjoying this otherwise fantastic camera.
