DX kit 18-55 VR vs the new FX 24-85 VR

This comparison may sound a bit odd but actually makes sense - both are entry level lens for their respective platform

This comparison may not tell the whole story but I'm still very surprised that the 2 perform very similarly, in some cases the DX even does better! So after all these years of Nikon's R&D, I pay three times the money and get pretty much the same performance as a 5-year-old DX kit lens.
