comparing a NIKON 5100 and an slt s65 need input

I decided to go with the nikon. Ok. I can hear the moans of some sony fans. Why? In the end, i did give in to the simple argument that you are not simply buying a camera, but a camera family. So i chse the nikon family. As a first time dslr buyer, it had been my plan from the beginning tolearn the basics with this first camera. Then, buy a better body in 24 months after acquiring some knowledge and expertise. In 2 years, it will be intersting to see what features being touted as new today will be incorporated into nikons newer models then.

So, thanks for all the input. I guess,if i participate in the dpreview forums i will be over in the nikon side. Boy, what great hobby! And, great people to interact with.
