How do you organize your videos?

I use Lightroom to database my still photos. With LR I assign attributes and keywords, and separate thousands of photos into categories. Retrieval of a particular photo or group of photos is usually quick, easy and effective.

I'd like to find a similar system for my video clips.

My "style" of video shooting has not (yet) evolved to shooting one theme or one story -line at a time. More likely, I'll shoot a scene or vignette that appeals - at the time. As a result, the individual clips may have ONLY a date in common.

Do you have a software program or other system that let's you categorize your individual clips?
