NEX7 safe for White Sands?
Sep 27, 2012

In a few weeks I will be taking the kids to White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. It can be very dusty if the wind is blowing with very fine grain dust. Should I be worried about using my NEX7 in those conditions?

Last time I went, I got quite a few good pictures of the kids with my Canon S5IS. But the camera never really has worked right after that. It seems to have problems focusing so now it just sits on a shelf.

Also, I think I read a few weeks ago someone saying they had corossion problems after using a NEX7 at sea side resort over a few months. So I am a bit worried that I need to be careful with the NEX7. For this one trip I could just use an old point and shoot camera and that would be adequate for a few family snapshots. Does anyone have any advice?
