T3i viewfinder question...
Sep 26, 2012

Hello all

I have very little experience with DSLRs, so please bear with me...

Does the viewfinder of the Canon T3i show the actual color/focus/etc that you will get with your photo, like with a non-SLR point-and-shoot? I am used to a viewfinder view being what my photo will be (I don't like using the screen usually). But when I borrowed my boyfriend's Olympus DSLR, my photos looked nothing like what I saw in the viewfinder. Thus my photos didn't come out right.

So I guess, in short, my question is this: Does the T3i have a small screen in the viewfinder, or is it simply a view through the lens?
