by the way, i use the flash off-camera quite a bit, and am a big fan of nikon's wireless CLS. i am very comfortable changing off-camera flash settings on the d90, which led me to decide that even though the metz (the nissin as well) didn't have an lcd to display settings, i'd know where i was...

from a user standpoint, though, which of these two would less likely get in the way of making quick settings changes? for instance, if i was shooting and decided i wanted to get the flash of the camera and use AWL, i would think the nissin could possibly confuse me a bit with all the different LEDs on the unit. i would imagine having to think about what colored LED meant might distract me from concentrating on taking the picture... i would like to know if anyone here has had any noteworthy experiences from using these flashes...

right now, i'm leaning towards getting the metz. i have some friends who use the nissin, and they say they're quite pleased with their units. but i do feel a bit concerned about build quality (both exterior and interior) on the nissin, and could imagine the metz holding up better over a few years... my current flashes (sb-600 and sb-24) had enough of what i needed, but they're just beginning to give up on me, so i'm hoping the third-party flash i would eventually get could at least give me reasonably good value
