PAS (not M) - Which do you use and why?

I'm learning about these semi automatic modes and thanks to my last thread, there was some good information provided including a tutorial which will help me.

I'm wondering about Program, Aperture, and Shutter modes on the RX100 and which ones most folks use, and how they use them.

Some I think use one mode exclusively for all situations, while others will use different modes depending on the situation.

I've excluded full manual mode cause I am not interested in that mode.

I've seen the effects a fast shutter speed can produce vs a slow shutter speed depending on what you are after (i.e. freezing a shattering piece of glass vs capturing a flowing stream of water) and I suppose some people use them for artistic reasons...
