Need help with monitor calibration
|
I have a Dell 3007 WPF1 Ultra Sharp monitor and have been calibrating it with the Spyder2Express (with latest software update). Since getting an iPad, I notice that a photo that looks just right to my eyes on the iPad in Flickr, looks oversaturated on my Dell monitor screen when viewing in Lightroom 4 and in Flickr. Some of the colors are also not the same as I see on the iPad. In a recent review of small tablets on one of the tech websites, they noted that the calibration of the display on the new iPad is virtually 100%. So, the problem appears to be with the calibration of my Dell monitor.
The only manual control available on the Dell monitor is brightness. There is no way (that I know of) to adjust contrast except via a calibration program. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? Is it likely that I just need to bite the bullet and get a new and better calibration device?
Thanks,
Bob
