Does the new Fuji XF 18-55mm lens make the 18mm f/2 obsolete?

Some of us just prefer working with primes.

I'd rather carry two bodies with the 18mm and the 35mm than carry a zoom for example, even not taking into consideration that the 35 is quite a bit faster ; Even if the 18mm were an f/4 lens only, I'd still opt for a two lens set-up vs a zoom.

But perhaps more importantly for me - I like having the option of using just the 18mm when I absolutely need a lighter and more compact set-up.

Speaking for myself, the only time I'd maybe consider the 18-55 vs the 18mm is if the 18-55 were weather sealed. But even then, I'd probably still get the 18 separately, LOL.

Cheers.
