Setup for Borneo?

i went to borneo last year with a 500 400. was fun but wasnt what
i had envisioned. it is basically palm trees now. there is still great deal

of bird life. if you are stayi ng for over a year makt it count, get 800 or at least 300 f2.8.
life is short.
