No, that's not it. There is a whole thread on PF about the Q going below $400 U.S. on Amazon, in which Adam, who runs the site, participated in, and in which no one was banned.

Clearly the ban is arbitrary or someone messed up.

Before that they warned me about posting a photo of Fotodiox PK-NEX adapters with the costs from my Amazon order. Also I was warned for a reply to a person who questioned my thread on a 1080p smartphone.

Seems pretty normal to me you advertise amazon on a B+H sponsored site
This is Amazon who own a site (dpreview) that has banned Pentax forums !!
There is only going to be one outcome.
Why ignore two warnings ?
Basically their income was threatened they issued a warning no heed was taken they reacted.
It all adds up to me no plots or subterfuge here.
