RX100 How smooth is your Control Ring?

I got a replacement camera from B&H after my first RX100 died (stuck lens) and the second one they shipped was obviously not brand new since it did not have the protection stickers on the body & LCD. I didn't think much of it as everything else looked in great shape with no wear marks. I have had it for several weeks now and have not used it extensively (other than casual snapshots) until now.

The Control Ring dial is quite stiff on this one and it doesn't feel smooth when turning it all the way around. Actually it feels like there is one area that it catches on and is stiff turning past. Plus it makes squeaks as it turns.

Somehow I think the original one I had was smooth as butter. What does yours feel like?

Not sure there is much I can do about it other than have Sony look at it for a warranty repair. Any ideas?
