When did Fiscal year 2011 end? That is telling because Nikon really over took Sony in 2012.
One big difference is that Nikon doesn't really even have a stake in the mirrorless market. Sony is in the major leagues with the NEX, but their dSLR's VS Nikon dSLR's is a different story.
It makes sense that Nikon would be the main competition in that market. However, with the release of the A99, that may change.
