M9 Now or New M Later?

I'm wondering, could there be any reason for me to buy my first ever leica right now (m9) instead of waiting for the new M.

The M9 is available at the local leica dealer, along with a summilux 50mm, which is I believe kinda hard to get these days.

The new M is exciting for me, with

• Better battery life

• 24mp CMOS sensor with hopefully reliable colors and good low light ISO performance

• Proper 920K back display

• and other features I may find very useful that I cannot see right now.

I'm feeling a good amount of excitement and impatience about getting a leica. And now to mid 2013 seems like forever.

I thought it's better to ask fellow dpreview veterans about their experienced views. And maybe in this case talk some sense into me.
