Hello Everyone,

I am close to purchasing a new Digital SLR and I am thinking about the Canon Rebel T4i. I would prefer to get just the body and then a good walk-around lens. But after looking around at lenses, I haven't been satisfied with just one lens! Has anyone ever heard of a 35-300mm lens? If not, is it possible to create one? Why hasn't someone? I think that something like that would be great! Now, I am a beginner with photography, but wouldn't the 35mm or something similar be good for close ups/portraits and the 300mm zoom would be good for close ups from across a street? That's what I think, but if anyone else has another way to get the entire spectrum 35-300ish mm in only one or two lenses, I would be glad to hear it.

Thank you!
