Full Frame and Shake Reduction
Sep 24, 2012

I love sensor-based shake reduction. It's a big reason to stay with Pentax.

John Carlson recently said that the DA lenses have an image circle that is extra large to accomodate sensor shift during shake reduction.

My main interest in full frame has been to make use of my 35 mm lenses. But I wonder how many of them have an image circle large enough to accomodate shifting of a 24 x 36 mm. sensor. If they're not suitable for shake reduction with my existing lenses, I wouldn't be interested.

I'd stick with APS-C just to keep shake reduction.
