Can you save as JPG in ViewNX2 from NEF?

When I edit an NEF file in ViewNX2, I don't have the option to save as a JPG. It just saves as an NEF. I then have to choose "convert" to save the new file as a JPG.

Is there any way I can save a JPG immediately after adjusting the settings to the NEF file?

I have Capture NX that lets me save in different formats but the D600 isn't supported. I wonder if this means that I have to buy the upgrade to Capture NX in order to save JPGs. At least the upgrade is "only" $85.
