SX50 - Opinions of a hobbyist

I have an array of Canon DSLR bodies and lenses, but picked up an SX40 for the zoom - Very happy with it, missed the RAW. When I saw the SX50 has RAW, I starting thinking about selling my SX40 and getting the SX50, until I saw the slower lens. Going to have to wait a bit and see the first adopters think....
