Experiences with Calumet Photo in Chicage

Hello, long time reader (but seldom poster) who is looking to buy a new D600 and a few lenses. I'm gearing up for "semi-retirement" and I hope to renew my interest in photography.

The last serious camera I bought was an F2 from Calumet Photo in Chicago. It was 1974 and I was in journalism school at the time.

I see they are still in business. Thinking about taking a trip up to the Windy City to check out the camera and lenses in person.

Has anyone bought from them recently. They used to be a great store. I would prefer to buy from a place known for good service such as being able to exchange a lens if tests show it has problems.

I realize many here deal with B and H. Just figured it would be nice to buy in person.
