I agree when you say that these fringes are no problem in real world photography anymore. Besides that, the 100/2 only shows these very moderate fringes wide open (at 2.8 it has almost gone completely).

Of course it is always better to prevent these fringes than to correct them afterwards, but in these times, with continuously improving software, other aspects are much more important in a lens than this very minor defect.

The 135/2 seems a great lens, but it is too close to my 100/2. The possibility to go to 1:2 is more important to me than a very minor improvement in sharpness or CA. Therefore I will certainly not buy the 135/2. Things might change when Zeiss comes with a real 1:1 APO 200mm macro. Then I might replace the 100/2 with the 135/2 and get the new macro as well.
