As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. HDR images, especially exagerrated ones, were never intended to look like the original shot. They are unrealistically enhanced, but some people, such as myself, like them. I like how they bring out contrast and details that were not visible in the original. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like the original image. In fact, it was the intense beauty of the original that made me want to play around to see what variation I could come up with. To me, both are beautiful in their own way.
