Time will tell if this was a great deal. I suppose the reason I was willing to roll the dice on this product was because if it dies during a shoot it comes off. I lose the vertical shutter release and some battery capabilities but I can keep on working.

Bill, do you mind commenting on the feel of the buttons on the grip? My main concern is the multiselector, the AF-ON button, and the shutter release. Thanks!
