I don't say that the 1DX and the 5D3 are unsuitable for studio, landscape and fashion work, but there is not much improvement with these cameras for that kind of work compared to a 1DsMkIII from 2007 and a 5D2 from 2008.
I will pick without a doubt a D800 over a 1DX for that kind of work.
