D600 sensor - 3rd best ever tested behind D800E & D800

Firstly just let me say I'm originally a Canon shooter but recently moved over to Leica so no Nikon fanboyism here - but well worth mentioning.

Sensor in the D600 has an overall dxo score of 94 (compared to 95 for D800 & 96 for D800E) with 14.2EV - amazing

Did Sony produce the sensor in the D600? If so they seem to be leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. It will be interesting to see how the newly developed CMOSIS sensor rates in the Leica M.
