First time Mac user...what should I expect?

Going from a Dell Latitude E6410 to the newest MacBook Pro. I'm a little scared because I've never dealt with anything other than a windows operating system. Everyone I've talked to about owning a mac says they'd never switch back.

What advice can you all give me? Are there pains with switching to a mac? i.e., not all software or hardware is mac compatible, etc.

I will be using LR and CS6 for the mac and I would assume nothing would be different....correct?
