I would go right away for it. For sky photography and timelapsing (astrophotography, atmospheric phenomena, aurora, clouds) the 17mm EFOV would be ideal module. Provided that it is sharp enough and fast ... but then I fear its price. The 24mm of the A16 is simply sometimes too narrow for these things.
