Need recommendations for equipment for Astrophotography with my 5d mark III

I really want to start playing with astrophotography. I know there is a difference between stars(galaxies) and planets when it comes to equipment. I guess I am more interested in shooting stars or nebulas, though it would be great to find something that could do planets too. Not sure if I am being unreasonable but thinking in $1500 range. I know I need a scope, tracker, adaptor, and not sure what else. I have seen some threads on here but a little confused and I am looking for more up to date recommendations. Thanks!
